LAN cables (Local Area Network cables) are cables used to connect computers, network devices, and other devices within a local computer network (LAN).
LAN cables allow data to be transmitted between devices in the network up to several hundred meters away. Their type, category, and construction depend on the network requirements and its parameters. The most common types of LAN cables are copper cables, such as Category 5 (Cat 5), Category 6 (Cat 6), and Category 7 (Cat 7) cables, as well as optical cables (Optical Fiber Cable), which transmit data using light.
